David Civil is a Chartered Surveyor with over 20 years experience in the UK property development industry.

Since forming Danescroft in 1997 he has successfully overseen the Company’s continued growth. In particular he has been responsible for establishing and maintaining important relationships with joint-venture partners, land owners and occupiers.

Prior to this he worked as a development surveyor with Speyhawk PLC, London & Edinburgh Trust, and Canary Wharf Limited , where he was responsible for the delivery of a number of major and diverse development projects.

Ray Palmer has specialized in development and investment for over 30 years, starting his career at Lambert Smith & Partners, serving as its Chief Executive and guiding its sale to Abaco. He stayed on as the Chief Executive and masterminded a series of acquisitions, culminating in the creation of Lambert Smith Hampton, one of the UK’s top five agencies. In 1991 he led a management buy-out before resigning in 1992 to found Palmer Capital. Ray provides substantial financial backing to Danescroft Commercial Developments Limited through his company PCP. Practising as a specialist property merchant bank, Palmer Capital is a venture capital and fund management house specializing in the UK property market. In addition to PCP’s financial support, Ray provides the company with a wealth of knowledge and contacts encompassing the entire UK property industry.

Dominic is a Chartered Planning and Development Surveyor with over 15 years experience in UK property and development. Having started his career working in construction he moved into consultancy and then to Bass in 1996. There he spent over 9 years with Bass working in property acquisitions and development.

Dominic has spent much of his career working closely with operators/occupiers to deliver bespoke property solutions.

Since joining Danescroft Dominic has been appointed lead developement manager on the ‘Golden Gate’ Azure portfolio following the joint venture acquisition of 104 petrol filling stations from Texaco in June 2005. The portfolio is let to Somerfield.

Joanne joined Danescroft in November 2009 and brings with her an extensive knowledge of the retail and leisure sectors.

For more than 25 years Joanne has been an acquisition manager firstly with Whitbread Plc and until recently with Mitchells & Butlers.

Her knowledge and skills of site finding and having the tenacity to see difficult deals through to completion are a welcome addition to the team.

Sharon Boyd, Magda Zielinska and Sofiya Kichkova form Danescrofts accounts team. Together they ensure that the company maintains rigid financial controls. They are responsible for creating and updating project cashflows and accounts for both in-house and joint venture companies.

Emma trained at Frere Chomeley Bischoff and qualified into the commercial property department. She held the role of Legal Counsel at Ascent Media Group Limited for seven years before joining Palmer Capital in 2007. Emma provides Danescroft with valuable legal advice in both property and corporate matters.
